About me
Mark Aukamp is originally from Illinois and earned both a Master of Architecture and a Master of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Illinois. He later relocated to Denver, Colorado, where he obtained his architects license in 1994.
After a brief tenure with a large Denver-based architectural firm, Mark transitioned into commercial real estate development. In this role, he specialized in the development and leasing of multi-family, office and light industrial properties, many of which served federal government tenants. Early in his career, he also earned a general building contractor’s license and expanded his architectural licensure to 12 additional states.
In 2006, Mark founded Archway Development, continuing his work as a government contractor with a focus on the design, development and leasing of high-security facilities throughout the central and western United States. Over the course of this period, he developed more than 40 properties totaling nearly 1.5 million square feet.
In 2021, Mark sold the majority of his leased property portfolio and relocated to Vail, Colorado. Today, when he’s not enjoying the outdoors or traveling with his wife, he remains active following his original passion of remodeling homes in the Vail Valley.
